This page captures Episcopal High School indoor invitationals that have gone by a variety of names. These meets are hosted at Episcopal High School's Cathcart Track at Flippin Fieldhouse.

Dr. Harrison F. Flippin starred in football, basketball, baseball, and track and held the Episcopal High School record in the 120-yard high hurdles from 1926 until his son broke it in 1959. The elder Flippin was the U.S. all-around track champion in 1927 and held the world indoor record in the 60-yard high hurdles in 1929. His son, Bill, was a sports star in his own right in the late 1950's. He was a 6-foot high jumper in addition to one of the best hurdlers in D.C. prep school history up to that date.

Charlie Cathcart was a strong sprinter during Bill Flippin's high school peak, making Episcopal a formidable team in 1959. The Cathcart Track was named for a different Cathcart, however. James Armstrong Cathcart was an even stronger sprinter for Episcopal a few years prior in 1955.
