Marc Jenkins Relays History | |
The Marc Jenkins Relays was a longstanding relay meet hosted by Spingarn High School in Washington DC usually in late April. According to a 1974 Washington Post article, Marcellus Jenkins was an All-American track athlete at Indiana. He coached at Cardozo High School and was principal at Spingarn High School. He passed away in 1970. The meet was started in Jenkins' name by Spingarn track coach, Hubert Gates.
