The Montgomery Invitational is the signature indoor track invitational hosted by MCPS since 2002. The meet was started by Tom Rogers and Tom Martin of Walter Johnson High School with the intention of creating an elite showcase meet for the state of Maryland prior to championship season. The meet also serves as a fundraiser for MCPS and according to Rogers, the meet saved MCPS indoor track in the early 2000's. The meet has been hosted at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Center since its inception in 2002. |
